CONTROL INGLÉS

Hello!!

Os comunico a todos, que el próximo jueves 4 de febrero tendremos nuestro control de inglés. Entrará TODO lo visto hasta entones, sobretodo los adjectives.
Durante esta semana, terminaremos de ver los comparative y superlative (hojas que os he entregado) y si nos da tiempo, los adjectives en la unidad 4 del libro.Os dejo la parte más importante de las hojas que os he entregado para que repaséis.
Por último, para que estudiéis mejor, os dejo unas páginas de juegos de este tema..... a jugar y aprender!!

ADJECTIVES

1.    An adjective is a word that describes a noun.

Activities
1.     Fill the gaps
-      Giraffes are    ____________________.
-      Mosquitos are _____________________.
-      Rhinos are ________________________.
-      Lions are _________________________.

2.    Underline the adjectives you find.
One day a small brown bear was walking slowly through the woods. He was sad because he had lost his little teddy. He was jumping over small stones in the cold river. He is looking for his teddy. He looked under big bushes and behind tall trees. After lots of looking he saw a very wet and dirty teddy sat in a big puddle. The small bear was very happy and went home with a huge smile on his face.

COMPARATIVE ADJECTIVES

Comparative Adjectives are used to compare the differences between two nouns.

Forming the comparative

1.     We add than between the adjective and the noun. (Lions are faster than dogs).
2.    We add –er to the end of the adjective. (Mice are smaller than cats).

    Fast / Slow                             Big / Small
                                      
A car is faster than a bicycle.                  The red bag is bigger than the blue bag.                          
A bicycle is slower than a car.                The blue bag is smaller than the red bag.



Activities
-      Bikes are____________________ than cars (cheap).
-      January is ___________________than June (cold).
-      Tigers are___________________ than tortoises (fast).
-      Mount Everest is _____________________than Teide (high).
-      Snakes are ______________________than lizards (long).




SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVES

A superlative adjective compares three or more nouns. This takes the comparison of nouns to the highest degree.
 An example: Aroa is the youngest girl in our class
Forming the superlative
1.     We add the before the adjective. Whales are the biggest animals.
2.    We add –est to the end of the adjectives. Cats are the cutest animal.
